Quick link to Lesson 1 Speaking Notes
The ability of our generation to share information is unsurpassed. We are able to message peers one to one, one to many, a crowd - if we wanted. And in turn, open we can ourselves to messaging from either the individual or the crowd.
Which can be powerful in terms of making things happen. We’ve seen the uprisings fuelled by the socially conscious, we note the skill of the entrepreneurial sector, business kings and queens who stoke our desires and who (oh so casually) provide us the means to acquire things they have.
The speed of this generation’s ability to Transform is undeniable testament to the power of Information and Communication Technology - the ICT’s (the slew of digital offerings). And you’d want to keep in mind that this status quo - this unique ability of people today to transform things, even themselves, is inarguably due to access to information and being able to gainfully wield such information.
Which is just the high level view. Moving of information to effect transformation is a bit more complicated - but not all that difficult as it turns out. Because once you remove the vagueness of (your/theirs) desires (and wants) and can accept that effectively, ideas need to be business ideas, most anyone can harness the power of ICT.
Which translates as making money. There are many arguments to be made of the power of money and, as concerns the business of effectively transforming (your/their) knowledge into a product. You’d need a good business plan. Nothing drives the bespoke business plan like today’s raft of ICT offerings.
Perspective is required. Do you come in as Geek; with fancy computing skills, with power to harness ICT’s? Or as the conventional entrepreneur - That girl/guy with concept (and not much else)? Both are entry points but tellingly, both will need that business plan.
At this point we want to digress a bit. We’ve been talking about using ICTs to effect transformation - for self growth. To do that in today’s world, as has been done in all world’s previously, you’d need to corner your potential part of the marketplace. The one common trait among people you likely already acknowledge as masters of the modern (sic) transformative universe is their uncanny ability to ingest/consume/wield information sharing.
Funnily enough, those masters of your universe will view your concept (should they have access to it) as nothing more than a enterprise (Worth doing?) for profit. To which end they’d need, and here it again - that business plan. Now a blog is as fine a place as any to get on with sorting your future business, so let’ ease into it.
